When the babies hit a year mark, it's kind of like they are no longer considered babies. They are entering toddler-hood. Which means, I only have about three months left with a BABY. Forever. Linc turned 9 months on the 28th of January. [Which means I'm a week late posting. It's my season of life, that's okay.]
This last month was a big one for Lincoln. He learned to clap, wave, crawl, pull-up, and cruise. He also said his first word "dada" and begin eating almost entirely table food (bananas, avocados, crackers, beans, breads, blueberries, strawberries, cheerios, yogurt, pasta, mashed up veggies, even small pieces of chicken). He is still a champing nurser. He was sleeping great at night until he began teething about two weeks ago--he has two bottom teeth, but his top two are coming through right now. His favorite things to do include trying to crawl into the fireplace and get whatever toy his sisters are playing with. He loves bath time and laughs when his whole head gets wet. He takes one or two naps a day, just depends on the day, and usually down for the night by 7.
He weighed in at 22 lbs 13 oz and a little over 30 inches long. The kid is huge. Wearing 18 month clothes.
He is so snuggly and sweet. Some of my favorite moments are when I'm nursing him and he just looks up at me and feels around my face. And when he wakes up in his crib, standing and gets SO excited when I walk in to get him. Most recently he began to lay his head down on my shoulder when someone new talks to him and he gets shy. I would be okay with him doing that for the rest of his life, although I'm sure he wouldn't. I also love the way he adores his sisters. God knew what he was doing when he had Lincoln join our family. I love him so.

9 months in. 9 months out.
She's nine months today. She woke up with a slight fever and then proceeded to get sick about three hours later. I think it's teething related. Her two top teeth are acomin', one is already popped and her gums are super swollen. She has been a little fussy today, which is very rare for her, so I know something is up. But that also includes a lot of snuggling and falling asleep on me, which I love.
Before she went down for a third nap (and it's only three o'clock), I quickly snapped some pictures. She's such a good sport, I was able to get a smile out of her even though she wasn't feeling well.
{I read a trick somewhere--when taking pictures just pin up a cute blanket, curtain, or sheet that you have laying around for the backdrop. So that's what I did.}
Here she is nine months out.

The night before she was born, I took my last pregnancy shot. Here she is nine months in.
I can't remember what life before her was like. She has always just been apart of our family.
Audrey's little sister. My second sweet born. And definitely a daddy's girl.

9 Months in 9 Months out.
It is amazing what can happen in 9 months. You can grow one giant belly. It even comes with swollen feet, sleepless nights, and numerous requests on the toilet. Or in 9 months you can have your beautiful baby turn into a beautiful baby.

It's hard for me to believe she is already so big. My little Audrey Rose isn't so little anymore. But she is definitely still my baby. She waves and says "iiiieee" (aka "hi"), pulls herself up (favorite places include the bathtub and coffee table), dances, squeals like high-pitch-did-that-really-just-come-out-of-that-baby. LOVES to read books and can even turn the pages herself. [I would like to think that maybe it had something to do with the fact that I was that mom that read to her since she was just a month old. That would be the teacher coming out in me.] Wants to walk everywhere. Which results in my back hurting BAD by the end of the day from walking her around. Thinks crawling is for the birds. Starting to cruise. Loves to play music on her little piano. Eats EVERYTHING in sight. And let me tell you, with just one little tooth and another on the way, her gums can mash anything down. I wonder if she will be in one of those contests one day- like how many hot dogs can you eat in a minute. Because she would probably win. No doubt.
I pretty much love her like no other. These moments are gone. But definitely cherished. And I can't wait for each morning to see what the day brings from my little Audrey Rose.
