I'm not the best bowler. My goal is usually to break 100. Tonight we went and I won't even share my score, because, yeah, I didn't even come close to 100. I told Andrew I blamed it on my equilibrium being off because I have a bad head cold. I also said I've had a baby between now and the last time I bowled, so that could also be the problem. Both of those sounded like legit answers, right?

None the less, we had a good ol' time.

Afterwards we came to our house for taco making. My favorite moment? Reading The Gingerbread Girl in front of the fireplace with all the little ones listening.

 We celebrated Easter at my dad's house--where we are staying until we get our next house.

We are filled up on lots of food and I even got a nap in. I'm going to call it, it's been a good day.

For Easter I asked my dad to make Audrey a sandbox. I asked him like three days before Easter, not thinking he would actually do it or that I expected him to. I pictured in my head a square, unpainted box. By Easter he already had the box made and it was painted purple. It looked perfect to me already. But he wasn't done. He spent the next month making sure it was just right for his little granddaughter(s).

Last week, Audrey got her sandbox. It is a beautiful lilac purple, with four seats, and a custom lid with handles to go on top. And? My dad (who is super duper handy, but I wouldn't exactly consider artistic) painted "Audrey" and "Naomi" on it with a flower in the middle. Seriously. It is so sweet. And Audrey just loves it.

I'm so thankful for my dad and him being Audrey's Gramps. And if my mom was here, she would just be eating this up. Oh my. She would.

she wasn't even scared of the dinosaurs.

It was loud. There was pretend thunder and rain and roaring. But she wasn't scared. She was so intrigued. She LOVED the dinosaur exhibit at the Children's Museum.

We spent the day digging up bones. Driving race cars. Dancing in silly mirrors. Riding trains. Playing in water. Pretending to be in a Barbie fashion show. Going down big slides. Eating cotton candy. Bulldozing rocks. Riding a 90 year old carousel.

It was truly a day of fun.

The day ended with a ride on the carousel with Gramps. Notice how tired Audrey looks. It wasn't 5 minutes later and she was zonked out.

Also, we leave tomorrow for a 2 day trip to witness our friends getting married. It will be 2 days without Audrey. Every one always talks about a child's milestone, but what about a parents? I'm reaching one this weekend, leaving Audrey overnight without mama or daddy. I know she will be fine and this is a much needed time for me and my husband. But still. Right? Good thing I soaked up so much love today with her. I am storing it up for the weekend.
