he is risen.

He is Risen, Indeed.

We celebrated Easter at my dad's house--where we are staying until we get our next house.
Church morning

35 weeks. My shoes really don't fit anymore. Enough said.
Cousins. This picture took a lot of bribery
Cousins with their Gramps.

We are filled up on lots of food and I even got a nap in. I'm going to call it, it's been a good day.

good friday.

This morning at playgroup I told the Resurrection Story to a bunch of three and four year olds. (Using Resurrection eggs, have you heard of those before? They were pretty neat!) They were so into it. How could they not be? A story of Jesus and His ultimate sacrifice on the cross for us. He took the pain for us. Because He loves us so. Then He arose. The little ones had so much passion while I was telling the story, they wanted to know more. And even had their own answers. I definitely learned from them today. I'm thankful for seeing Christ through the eyes of children, with unfiltered love.

Then we had a great Easter egg hunt. These kids have been friends since in the womb, they really are growing up together. It's the best.

The kiddos are napping and I'm off to begin the fun process of making the most delicious cinnamon rolls for Easter weekend. If you haven't tried the Pioneer Woman's rolls, then you just must. They are totally worth the time and make a crazy amount for you to share. Just one word of advice, ignore the calorie count.

18 months.

It's been a really good day. We had to travel just a little ways to get a detailed ultrasound done on baby Lincoln. His amniotic fluid and blood flow around his heart was checked and it came back fine. So, so thankful. [His fluid is still lower than normal, but it has increased by two points since last week, which is great.] The only thing the doctor really had to say was he is a big boy. At almost 35 weeks he is measuring in at 6lbs 7 oz. I know this weight can be off, as much as a pound. But yeah, I'm thinking he is going to beat his sisters birth weights at least.

It's the fifth of the month, which means my current baby turns 18 months today! A whole year and a half. This age is so challenging and fun all at the same time. Her language skills are picking up each day. She tries her best to repeat all of the words we ask, sometimes not sounding anything like it and other times surprising us. My favorite is her "thank you" which sounds like "nank nu." She absolutely loves to be outside. Climbing. Swinging. Playing with bugs. In water. She is especially enjoying living at her Gramps--right behind the house are donkeys, horses, chickens, goats, and sheep. Not a day goes by when we don't visit the animals.

It took about 10 shots to get one good one. She was not wanting to stand still and smile.
But we managed with a little bribery. Naomi is wearing a hand-me-down dress from Audrey, which I scored at a second-hand kids store.

Audrey is wearing a vintage dress and shirt that was either mine or one of her three aunts.
A perfect twirl dress, in deed.

They really love to hug and kiss each other. They have also started "rough housing" together, resulting in one or the other sitting on top of the other. Lincoln better watch out!

On a different fun note, I was featured on the lovely, Aliya's blog, Double the Fun today! I answer some questions about pregnancy, stop on over and say hello! And those who have stopped in from over there, "nice to meet you!"

it's baaaack.

I haven't had my DSLR since January. I haven't taken a real picture for over three months. But finally, today it arrived after sending it off to get fixed! It seriously felt a little like Christmas morning unwrapping that baby.

These were the first pictures I took...and it felt so good to hear the click of the camera again.

This recent purchase--the bubble machine is genius. I call it the lazy-parent machine. It has provided an abundant of entertainment this week.

My smiley {almost} 18 month old, who loves the outdoors. Especially her Gramps back porch, where she can watch the horses and donkeys in the field behind.

Now that my camera is back, it means I will be back in this little space a lot more now!

my season {of life} right now.

I was almost going to let March go on by without even saying hello on here. I was going to flip the calendar page and move on. Not because it has been a bad March. It's just been a tiring one. Between getting a new roof, getting a tree cut down, a septic pumped, carpets cleaned, car repairs, packing, moving, and of course, enjoy our unusually warm spring with trips to the beach, a waterfall, multiple parks, and the zoo, I sit down at night and have enough energy to just be. Oh, and there's my part-time job too aside from full-time growing a baby and parenting. [You guys, baby Lincoln will be here in no time. Eek!]

Creek exploring.
Getting ready to take a walk to our local Science Museum.
 Outdoor painting.
Trip to the zoo about two weeks ago (and me 31 weeks along).

One of my very favorite pictures of the girls.
The hugging and kissing that takes place daily tugs at my heart strings.
 Waterfall exploring.
Yeah, that happens. Hand holding at it's finest.
When everything is packed away for moving, you get out tubs for water play.
And then you are the coolest mom ever. Just keeping it real.
 Porch playing.
Beach going. It got up to 85 degrees last week. I still can't believe we were in swimsuits. I mean, they were in swimsuits. You won't find me in one. Ha!
Trip to the zoo today!

It's a good tired, no doubt. But this is my season of life. I don't think the tiredness is going to change anytime soon. [Hello, newborn comes in t-6 weeks.]

I mentioned we moved, right? We officially sold our (second) home on Monday. It feels really good. Two years ago we bought this 1930's bungalow with plans to live in it and "flip-it" in two years--and we did just that! We packed almost everything away in storage and are now crashing at my dad's, in hopes that we will get the house we put an offer in (we should hear something sometime around the beginning of April). I'm thankful he has the space, but we are still really limited. And still adjusting. Poor sweet Audrey is having a difficult time with the change. Both physically and emotionally she has not been acting her normal self. I'm trying my best to be extra patient with her and show her grace.

I do hope to start blogging again. It's quite therapeutic for me. And as busy and tired as I am in this season of life, I want to remember the little moments.

**Thank you to those who mention you love reading this little space. It is encouraging!**

this week.

I was going to save these pictures for Small Style on Thursday, but they were so cute, I couldn't wait.

(In case you were wondering: tunic-thrifted, pants- H&M, shoes-Umi*)

Yesterday, was such a beautiful day here. Warm enough for tank-tops and sandals. We grilled out steaks. And talked about how God made the sun and wind. We also got a lot of projects done on the house. And this week I have big plans to start painting.

Other than that, we don't have a lot going on till the next busy weekend comes. I do plan on making a conscious effort to be less on the computer during the day (checking email, instagram, twitter, oh my, social media), and more time playing with Audrey and Naomi. I have some spring crafts I want to do together and make a dolhouse out of shoe boxes (the link is my cousin's blog, she is so crafty!). Oh, and Naomi will turn 6 months tomorrow-eek!

What is your week looking like? Or you can just tell me something that made you laugh over the weekend.

*I bought the Umi's from 6pm.com. They were on major clearance. In fact, I bought four pairs of shoes and some shorts from them (all on big sale). They had really fast shipping and great brand name stuff. The only downfall is---they don't do exchanges and you have to pay for shipping if you need to return. But I will definitely buy from them again. And no, I did not get paid to write this or get any credit. They have no idea I even wrote this. I just like sharing a good place to buy.

spring {it's here}.

Did you know today was the first day of spring? I didn't, until my pastor told us today at church. I got all giddy, Andrew looked at me and said that just gave you new found energy didn't it? Yes. Yes, it did.

I think one of my favorite times is right when seasons change. It's a time of renewal. To start fresh. Just what I need. {Although His mercies are new every morning.}

Our weekend was full of signs of spring. And full of signs of love.

Indoor Farmer's Market.
The "milk man" where we ordered fresh milk to be delivered to our house weekly (in glass jars.)
Being outside as much as possible.
Watching my handy-man hard at work cutting trim on our front porch.
Sewing and creating.
Girl time.

Tomorrow I plan on getting my spring decorations out and doing some spring cleaning. Are you just as excited about spring as me?
