I'm borrowing my husband's computer.

I can't take it much longer. This no computer thing. At first it wasn't too bad. It was actually sort of nice to break away. But in the last couple of days I have really missed blogging. Does that sound weird? It may. I don't know. I have realized how I use my blogging time to release and recap so many great small moments. And I like that. Now over two weeks have passed and my brain is full. And I don't know where to begin. So much happens in two weeks. Really.

In this two weeks of absence I have surpassed the half way point in this pregnancy. Whoa. Tomorrow I will be 21 weeks done. Again. Whoa.

Here I am 20 weeks. [Wish I could share and compare a picture from Audrey's pregnancy, but all those pictures are on my laptop which is getting fixed right now. Which brings me to the title of this post: I'm borrowing my husband's computer. He had to pack it up and bring it home from work just for me.]

I'm at a good point in this pregnancy. No sickness. {Yay! Yay! Yay!} I have a belly, which means I get the hey look, she is pregnant look instead of the hey look, IS she pregnant look? or I get the oh, she looks young for having a little girl and another one on the way look. (These are my favorite looks. I just smile super big.) I don't take a nap every day anymore. In fact, some nesting has kicked in. I have LOTS of projects in my head that I still need to get done. I can still paint my toes and shave my legs. My ankles aren't swollen yet to create those lovely cankles I get. My favorite part about this stage though, is feeling little Naomi move. She doesn't seem as active as Audrey was, but she definitely lets me know she is there. She must be easy going, right? At least, that's what I'm telling myself.

And on another very happy-related to pregnancy note. My friend, April, threw me a beautiful diaper shower yesterday. (I got a shower for my second baby. I know that is not common. It made me feel super special to have close friends and family there.) I received lots of wonderful cloth diapers (as I plan to cloth diaper the second one as well) and some disposable ones. Because I definitely have those lazy days that I don't do it and I don't plan on cloth diapering till Naomi is about two months. It was just a lovely day and I hope to share about it soon.

And now, while I hold Andrew's computer hostage, I'm going to try to get some posts ready for the rest of week. Because I have to empty this brain of mine.

{And thank you, friends, that have stuck around, or even come back to check daily to see if I was here. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.}

i'm here (sort of).

You might have to dust off the cobwebs on here, sorry about that. But I am here. Well, actually I'm at my dad's house using his internet, because our internet has been down for over a week now. Which equals zero blog time both reading all my lovely blog friend's blogs and writing.

I hope to reconnect soon to this lovely world again.

Until then, I'm going to enjoy my new'do I got tonight- hurray!

playing around.

It's almost midnight and I have spent the last hour and a half trying to change up my blog. [And before that I spent way too much time looking at things on Etsy, trying to find inspiration for a farmhouse table, and looking for a dining room light.] I'm not really sure what I think about it. Not totally in love, but hey it's different, and that's what I need right now. I'm sure it will change again by the end of the week. But now, I'm tired. And my brain hurts because I am definitely not tech savvy, so everything takes so long for me to do.

Oh, well. It's Sunday night. We have had a super nice weekend filled with birthday parties, bridal showers, bonfires, and lots of productivity outside.

So, I'm happy. And I'm ready to sleep.

So far. So good.

This year has already been so busy and we are only on day 4. I went to my first ever auction. You can read about it here (Where I started yet ANOTHER blog. Will I be able to keep them both going? Hopefully. Both separate? Maybe. Both sane? Probably not. ) I also have been busy taking my dirty dishes to my dad's house to wash there because we still do not have a kitchen sink. [Which I forgot to pick up my clean dishes today and now my husband is making us hot chocolate by heating up water in a measuring cup. Yes, we are that desperate and pathetic.] I have also been sewing more and creating. But the most fun thing I have done so far this year? Playing with my adorable toddler. She actually plays now. We chase each other and laugh. Take turns putting animals in the barn. I watch her climb on her little chair in her room over and over and over again, with an occasional you better sit down or you may get hurt. We read books and she makes the animal sounds. She is repeating so many words right now. I love hearing her little voice. [Even when it's screaming and throwing a toddler tantrum.] I can already tell, this year is going to be good.

So what have YOU been up to this year so far?

Warrior.

When I tell some people I blog, they give me that look. Like, why in the world would you write about your life story for everyone to see?

Because I enjoy it. Simple enough.

But also because I love the blog world. It is a whole community of awesomeness. Especially when you get connected with people that are holding strong when they have been through so much. One in particular, Ryan. He is only six months, but has done more in a life time than I could ever imagine. Please, go check out his story.

And pray for him today as he goes through a really long surgery. Pray for his family too, his mom and dad. As a parent, it is incredibly hard to watch your baby go through any type of pain. When Audrey was only 5 days old she had a heart procedure done to open her pulmonary valve up. It was absolutely devastating to us. To watch our teeny tiny baby go through something like that. We were prayer warriors during the entire time of the surgery. Nothing else mattered. And now. Audrey is doing great. We don't expect any other complications with her heart. Our lives have moved on.

But for Ryan. It is a battle every single day. He needs prayer warriors after him. So, could you be one for him today? And tomorrow? And the next day?

Blogging Blues.

I haven't blogged in a couple of days because, well, I just get intimidated. I love to spend my sparetime reading other blogs. Wait, I don't have spare time. Let's call it "time I could be doing many other things, but instead want to look at wonderful blogs." But then I doubt myself. Am I really cut out for all this blogging stuff? And twitter? And Flickr? And, geeze, I feel like I am joining everything. But is it really for me? I want it to be for me. Because I love it. It is an outlet for me. It is a way to connect with others. Like today, I came across this blog. And wanted to go to NC just to meet this cool chic. [No seriously, I have always wanted to just pick up and go somewhere. Even just for the day.]

But then, I go and doubt myself again. Which is kind of weird for me. Because I do consider myself a rather confident person. I mean, coming from a family of six kids, you have to be able to stand your ground.

Really, I don't think I can just stop blogging. There are too many inspirational blogs out there for me to stop. I hope one day I can be inspiration too. Even if it is just to one person.

P.S. I am sure my feelings are partly due to the dreary, cold, rainy weather right now. I am one of those people who totally let the weather affect them.
